American Friends of the Hebrew University is proud to join forces with the Concern Foundation and seven LA cancer nonprofit organizations (AYA@USC, Beauty Bus Foundation, Cedars-Sinai Wellness, Resilience, and Survivorship Program, Hope for Henry, The Kevin Cordasco Foundation: Something Yellow, The Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center, and Sharsheret) to race in the “2025 LA BIG 5K” on Saturday, March 16, at the Dodger Stadium.

Your participation and fundraising dollars will go towards supporting the work that is being done at the Concern Foundation Laboratories at the Lautenberg Center for Immunology and Cancer Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

By joining our team, you will receive:

  • A coveted slot in the 2025 LA BIG 5K
  • Ongoing fundraising assistance and tips from AFHU staff, along with a personalized fundraising page
  • Official Team Concern swag

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Commit to raising $150 by race day, March 15, 2024
  • Purchase the registration fee for the race – $45 entry fee until
  • Spread the word to friends and family about your participation through email, social media, and conversations
  • Have the competitive experience of a lifetime

Steps to Register:

  • Choose Your Race: Select the race you want to join. Begin using the link here.
  • Pay the Registration Fee: During payment, be sure to select our organization in the “Additional Information” section.
  • Get Your Registration Link: Once payment is complete, a message with your registration link will appear, and you’ll also receive an email from Bloomerang with the link (check your spam folder if necessary).
  • Complete the Registration Form: Click the link, fill out the form, and enter your credit card information again (don’t worry, you will NOT be charged for unmet fundraising goals or for registration again). Note: If you’re registering multiple runners, each one will need their own completed form, even if the payment has already been made for all participants.
  • Personalize Your Fundraising Page: After registering, a fundraising page will be created automatically. Click “Go to My Fundraising Account” to personalize your page, join your fundraising team, and start sharing.
  • Receive Your Confirmation: Once the form is submitted, you’ll get a confirmation email from The McCourt Foundation. As race weekend approaches, you’ll receive another email with a QR code, which you’ll need to pick up your race bib at the Expo on March 14-15.
