“A Conversation about October 7th and Its Aftermath: Legal Challenges and Responses" with Professor Tomer Broude, Dean of the Hebrew University Faculty of Law

On May 7, Gibson, Dunn, & Crutcher’s (GD&C) Washington, D.C. office was the site of a luncheon for Professor Tomer Broude, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HU). Hosted by Bill Kilberg, retired GD&C partner and current President of  AFHU’s Mid-Atlantic Region, and Howard Hogan, partner at Gibson Dunn and member of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Board of Directors, over 20 current and new friends of the Hebrew University, attended to learn more about the Faculty of Law and HU in the aftermath of October 7. Professor Broude gave a thorough overview of the history of the Hebrew University and the Faculty of Law, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. He also provided important insight into the role of the Faculty of Law during the Israel-Hamas War, the challenges in the international arena, and how the law students and faculty are representing Israel and its citizens.
