Laura Steuer was born and raised in Antwerp, Belgium, and obtained her M.A. in International and European Law at the University of Amsterdam. She moved to Los Angeles with her husband, Michael Steuer, in 2004 and began her career at a prestigious law firm in Downtown LA. She has had a prestigious career in Israeli advocacy and is currently the Senior Development Director at OpenDor Media. Previously Laura was the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Los Angeles Senior Development Director, Area Director, and Associate Area Director, and has participated in the Schusterman Fellowship. She enjoys listening to Jewish life and Israel podcasts, reading, socializing, and more.

Laura is excited about her participation in the LEAD program: “I am very interested in learning more about Hebrew University and its amazing contributions to the Jewish people and the world, as well as the systems around it. I aspire to become part of the community that helps build and sustain these inspiring efforts. We are all looking for belonging, connection, and purpose, and we thrive when we find ways to improve the world while building community. It is deeply fulfilling to join people who care deeply about the future of our people, Israel, America, the West, and the world, and work on common goals to better lives.”
